Charlie Fineman Diagnosis

Charlie Fineman's apparent disorder seems to have been caused by a catastrophic, traumatic event. Such an event involved the passing away of his family members in a plane crash. It is extremely important to note that Charlie was completely normal – "normal" meaning that he was inclusive of the societal behavioural norm – before the incident. Charlie also seems capable of moderate levels of violence, such as partially destroying a dentist's office and manhandling others. It is apparent that Charlie's most discernible trait is his extreme anxiety, especially concerning his traumatic event, and seems to become extremely volatile when this event is mentioned. He is socially inept, and seems unaware of himself disrupting others’ private lives. Meanwhile, he finds comfort and trusts in people who he thinks are ignorant of his traumatic event and will not harass him about it, and furthermore seems able to disrupt their lives for his own emotional welfare. Thus, the most accurate diagnosis of Charlie Fineman's diagnosis is POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. Rectifying this disorder should be best done through cognitive behaviour therapy, for this will help remedy his social ineptitude and find comfort besides through the disruption of others, while find his traumatic event less disturbing.
